Con lo sciopero dei trasporti e le feste imminenti ci ha messo un po' ad arrivare il pacco che avevo ordinato su EBay a Dicembre; dopo lunga analisi dei vari siti che li proponevano questa mi è sembrata la proposta più economica, si tratta di un negozio online su EBay appunto... ops non ho detto cosa è arrivato... NEWSHAPES di Rowan e il BOOK n°2 di Cornelia Tuttle Hamilton per NORO. Favolosi!!!!
Foto stupende, modelli semplici e non, ma ben spiegati, ovviamente se si conosce l'inglese. Credo che saranno i primi di una serie, non so perchè ma sento proprio un'affinità con questo genere di modelli e di filati, il piccolo problema sono i costi, perchè da un lato non sono riuscita a trovare i libri in zona Euro o in Italia tanto meno, ma soprattutto i filati sono davvero di pregio.
Non ho ancora fatto il passo, avevo della lana in casa e quindi ho adattato un modello (DILL di Rowan) a quella e iniziato così, è ancora sui ferri e a breve racconterò come sta andando.
Di sicuro però il prossimo regalo speciale (me ne faccio ogni tanto, per chi non lo sa) credo sarà qualche gomitolo di Silk Garden, o Iro... e mi sa che succederà presto!

Because of transports strike or forthcoming holidays I don't know, but the parcel I had ordered on Ebay in December has taken long to arrived; I chose Ebay after a long analisys of many websites and it seemed the cheapest option, but in fact it was a shop inside it... ooops I'didn't say what I ordered!

Great pictures, not only simple patterns, but always with good explanations (if you can read english of course). So I guess these will be the first of a series, don't know why, but I feel a sort of nearess to the lines of the patterns and of course to the yarns. The only little problem is the cost, because I didn't manage to find this stuff in euro zone nor in Italy (least of all).
So I didn't dare now, and chose a pattern from Rowan to knit with some yarn I already had at home; actually I slightly changed DILL, it's still on the needles, and I'll tell about ow it proceeds.
Surely my next special gift for myself (I do it sometimes, for who doesn't know..) is going to be a few skeins of Silk Garden, or Iro.... and I guess it'll happen soon...
