UNA CASA CHE SI POPOLA... (a HOME GETTING ANIMATED...)

Tanto per restare in tema, una novità degli ultimi mesi è lo spazio che progressivamente si riduce a casa (piccola, mooolto piccola), e le cose più ingombranti devono ancora arrivare!
Questo post in particolare è dedicato a tutte quelle cosine, a cui non riesco proprio a resistere e che continuo a fare o comprare: pupazzi, cappellini, golfini etc... Gli ultimi arrivati sono IPPO e FAFANTE, ve li presento.



Questo è Ippo, il pupazzo, chiaramente... che è un modello perfetto per misurare lavori a maglia a taglia bebè (a parte braccia e gambe che sono luuunghe); così ho nominato anche il berrettino. L'ho fatto tutto a legaccio e ho regolato le diminuzioni in modo che finisse a punta - mi piacciono i cappelli strani non posso evitarlo!
La misura è un po' calcolata ad occhio, spero che andrà bene...

Il pezzo forte invece è FAFANTE:
Il nome originale del modello, in realtà, è ELIJAH, disegnato da Ysolda Teague;
è stato amore a prima vista, l'ho fatto di cotone per evitare pelucchi o poter lavare più facilmente eventuali, probabili, macchie e l'ho riempito con imbottitura per cuscini.
E' stato divertentissimo farlo!
Come mio solito la parte che ho preferito è stata la scelta del colore... arancione brillante. Non avevo mai costruito pupazzi a maglia, e questo è fatto totalmente senza cuciture, si attacca un pezzo all'altro semplicemente riprendendo le maglie e inserendo l'imbottitura mano a mano che il lavoro procede, per cui si vede la forma che piano piano cresce e si modifica, bello davvero.

Consiglio anche il modello, molto chiaro e ben spiegato, in inglese of course...
Ne ho trovato un altro che mi intriga parecchio: un gufo, fatto da KnitWhits, dolcissimo! Spero che piacerà al piccino...

Just to stay on the theme, one news in these months is the space progressively reducing at home (my tiny, veeeery tiny home!), and the most cumbersome stuff is still to come!
This post in particular is dedicated to all those little things I really can't resist
and that I keep knitting or buying: toys, baby berets and jackets etc. The last ones are IPPO and FAFANTE, let me introduce both.

Ippo si the toy, of course: a perfect model to measure my knitwear in baby size (apart from arms and legs that are veeeery long); so I named the beret thereafter, I knitted it all in garter stitch, and adapted the decreasings in order to make it end pointed - I don't fancy normal hat, can't help it!
The size is calculated roughly, so I hope it'll suite fine!

The hot stuff yet is FAFANTE:
the original pattern name actually is a ELIJAH, designed by Ysolda Teague; It was love at first sight, I knitted it with a cotton thread, to avoid little piles and to wash easily possible stains, then I filled it with cushion stuffing.
Such a great fun to make!
As usual the part I prefered was choosing the color: brilliant orange. I had never knitted any toy, this is totally seamless: each piece is attached to next one simply picking the stitches, and have to be stuffed as long as the work proceeds, so you can see it take shape and grow, really nice.
I also suggest the pattern: it's clear and quite easy to follow, in english of course... I found another one that definitely intrigues me: a little owl designed by KnitWhits, so sweet! hope my baby will like it...
